Sand surface

Sand surface is the cheapest and most commonly used type of safety surface in playgrounds. According to the requirements of EN 1176-1:2017 specifying the parameters of loose surfaces, it should be at least 30 cm thick. It should be remembered that the maintaining this type of surface in good condition requires regular inspections and workload such as topping up or replacing sand. This activity is associated with the need for expensive, most often manual loading and removal of the old sand and only the application of new sand in its place.
